Casa Sogni  is situated in the ancient and less touristic part of the marvelous Cortona,  it is an independent house in a small hamlet which is outside the walls of Cortona that, until the end of the 1950’s, was a convent.   The house is a modern construction but in the style of the surrounding hamlet environment which still maintains its original sandstone.  It has a total surface area of spread over the ground floor and the tower.

  • The principal entrance is into a small furnished lounge with a sofa and modern armchairs, on one side there is an open modern space which houses the well equipped kitchen and the dining area with a French door into the garden.  From the other side of the lounge is the access to the bedroom on the first floor with a double bed (175cm that cannot be divided) and with a French window onto the garden. An internal staircase leads to the little tower where there is the master bedroom with a double bed (180cm which cannot be divided). One of the two bathrooms is situated on the ground floor and it has a bath while the other one has a shower.

  • The city of Cortona has available 2 small mini-markets, a pharmacy, many small typical restaurants where to eat traditional Tuscan cuisine and excellent restaurants written up in the great national and international gourmet guides, ice-cream parlours and cafes with outside tables to have a good coffee or an aperitif while watching the passing parade.
As well along the Via Nazionale – the  “ la rugapiana “,  because it is the only flat street of Cortona, there  can be found individual bread shops, greengrocers  and butchers.
Instead, in the valley there is Camucia, the commercial area of Cortona, where there are big supermarkets with excellent choices of local and national products, the train station (without a ticket office), banks, pharmacies and petrol stations.
Casa Sogni is found in the external part of the city, which can be reached easily on foot by an uphill cobbled path, but for the guests who wish to arrive by car, we advise only those who are expert drivers to try and reach the Casa Sogni directly because the road is very narrow, particularly the uphill slope and descent , otherwise you can use a small parking area outside the hamlet and then go on foot to the car.

Cortona is an excellent departure point to visit each day different places of this area of Tuscany and also Umbria.
