There were 12 of us Americans arriving together from Florence and renting two houses (different owners) in Cortona. For months ahead we pestered the ladies with questions about the houses, Cortona, trains, cars, tours, etc., which they promptly answered. They dealt with car problems which left four of us stranded in the countryside one evening, and the unexpected departure of a couple due to a family emergency. Arrangements for our different departure times and trains were perfect. This is an outfit that is the definition of service - a combination travel agency, tour guides, rental managers, super-concierges, and emergency rescuers.
Our week in Tuscany was our first visit to the region and it did not disappoint. Denyse, Giula and Chiara did everything and more to make our visit a success. Travel directions were explicit, checking in was well-organized as was the checkout process. Cortona is a charming town with lots of shops and restaurants, plus a convent and a fortress! It was amazing to be in a town built on 2000 year old Estruscan ruins.
Our villa was perfect for access around Tuscany and Umbria. I do wish that we had more guidance about Florence. I would have loved to spend more time there. There was a glich in our plans for cooking at a winery, but Denise and Julia managed to make emergency accommodations and we had a wonderful time at our cooking class. Good job ladies.
If i could give this 10 stars, I would. This amazing team put together wine tours, walking tours and a chef for the evening to teach us how to prepare true Tuscan fare. This personalized experience was much more than following a flag with a line of people with headphones, it was made for us. We learned so much about the area, the history, and with such a one on one adventure, we could ask questions, and really understand Italy and family and history. I fell in love with Tuscany and can not wait to get back.
